My family always spend our time together
to travel both in Thailand and in abroad. I would like to create this homepage
to memorize all the good time that we have together and share our experience
in some of our favorite places in our country.
My family has seven members, which is my father,
mother, two sisters and two brothers. This picture was taken on my commencement
day but there is no my sisters because my eldest sister gave birth to her
baby on that day and the other one was taking our picture.
Chiang
Mai
This trip has four members, which is my mom,
my brother and my sister. We drive from Bangkok to Chian Mai, took time
around ten hours. Chiang Mai is located in the north part of Thailand.
We experienced the beautiful moutainous scenery and a uniquestlye of architecture
and handicraft. . Chiang Mai province, the second largest city in Thailand
now. It was the capital city of an independent Lanna Kingdom, which became
a part of Thailand.
Here is one of the famous places in Chiang Mai. The temple's golden pagoda
is located on the mountain so we saw the beautiful view of the city from
here.
We went to Doi Ang Kang around December, 2000. It was cold up there but
I brought only a light jacket. If you go there, do not forget to bring
it even it is hot at first. The road climb up so high so we decided to
rent a pick up car with the local driver. It was good because the road
has lots of sharp curve and the driver can show us around the places. Up
there, His Majesty the King Bhumibol Aduljadej demontrate the cultivation
sites for research and planting.
We look around the market at night, most are handicraft and souvineer for
tourists. On two sides of
street, there are lots of food venders, t-shirts
and carved wood. We took photos in a studio that provides the old traditional
costume of Thai Lanna Kingdom. It was fun and we got a souvenir that is
our pictures.
This market sells food for tourists to bring back home and it also a market
for local people. You can
find Nam Prik Noom, which is the famous Thai
food in the north. The shop called Je Hong, which sells Nam Prik,
barbequed pork and unique northern food,
is the best shop for our opinion.

Cha-am
and Hua Hin
Cha-am and Hua hin are not far from each other. We go to Cha-am or
Hua Hin about twice times a year because it is not far from
Bangkok to reach the beautiful beaches. Cha-am
has many beautiful beaches but Hua Hin has a long history. King Rama VII
built a beachside palace called "Klai Kangwon" since 1926. Until now, it
is still the place for Thai Royal family to spend their vacation in summer
time. The reason that we go there often is the food. At night, there's
an overnight food market, which has lots of seafood and sweet desserts.
Sometimes, food in the market is ordered to be served in the palace so
this can guarantee the quality the taste of food.

Pra Ratchaniwet Marukkathaiyavan
During 1920's, King Rama VI spent his summer time in this wooden palace.
We went there to see how King lived in the past and it reminds us to him.
This is the palace of King Rama IV in 1860. The palace is located on the
hill and there is a cable car to service visitors that do not want to walk
like us. It is beautiful and is a good source to learn history.
-
Kang Krachan National Park
It is the largest national park in Thailand. We went there several times
because of beautiful forest scenery. Kang Krachan dam is also beautiful,
especially at the sunset time. Near the dam, there is one restaurant that
is our favorite place since we can enjoy the beautiful scenery and good
food at the same time.
